April 18 & 19 – Destination Wedding Weekend – Nicole & Mark

There are some weddings that just stand out in my mind . . . and this is definitely one of my top five favorite weddings; partially because I just adored Nicole (the bride) and Mark (the groom) – as well as their parents. . . and partially because every detail was covered beautifully!

Nicole & Mark were not only interested in planning a spectacular wedding.  They wanted to treat each and every guest to an entire weekend of activities!  They started with a Welcome Party on Thursday night at Bud & Alley’s in Seaside.  Then, they hosted a “Miami Merger” rehearsal dinner on Friday night – followed by more fun at Bud & Alley’s.  On Saturday, the wedding at Seaside and reception at Watercolor were amazing – followed by more fun at Bud & Alley’s.  And on Sunday, they hosted a brunch!!

Needless to say – their guests were treated to a very nice destination wedding weekend!

It was such a pleasure working with Anne E and her mom, JoDee to plan this very intimate wedding and reception.  With the help of an amazing team of professionals, Anne E’s vision came to life!

Mac was caught by surprise as the bagpiper played the bride’s processional

(he thought it was to be a violinist) as well as the recessional.  Very dramatic!

Anne E’s dad gave his welcome toast, and this particular layout was ideal for the

continuous toasting that took place throughout the dinner.

What They Don’t Know . . . .

Having coordinated over 400 events, I often ask myself “Who does this when I’m not here?”.  There must be 250 details to every single wedding . . .  and although we all prepare for things to go as planned, nevertheless . . . something always needs ‘handling’.  I will try to tell you at least one detail that had to be ‘handled’ from each wedding!!  And, if you’re one of our brides . . .  you’ll never know, unless you come back to read the post from your wedding weekend!!!

PS – If you’d rather that I didn’t write about your wedding, please let me know!!
